Tab Only vs Trad-Tab Method

Description

So here is a comparison on how I usually draw (right side) vs my attempt on drawing with only the tablet (left side).

I really like the right side since everything seems to be in the correct place that I planned which is the reason why I take a bit longer with my design artworks. Also, there is a step missing in the right side which is the inking process. So i usually sketch my work, ink it, and then scan it for retracing with my tablet.

The right side is also a recommended method for those that has just moved from traditional work to digital work. It really helps for those to understand the basic hand work and position.

So what do you guys think? What method do you prefer? Should I try to improve the tablet only method but cause a back up on my works or just stick with my standard method, paper->scan->digitalize, which takes a bit longer to complete?

Hi, I just saw this in the newest uploads part of DA and just wanted to give an opinion since you seem to do what I used to do. I used to sketch on paper then ink and scan all my work and when I got my digital tablet anything I did on it was just not to the standard compared to what I could do on paper. But honestly, don't give up on the tablet. I stuck with it and I've gotten a lot faster, learned a lot more and my art has improved a lot. You should keep trying with the tablet, you might like it.
