SOMA: School of Mercenary and Assassin Abstract

SOMA, or School of Mercenaries and Assassins, is an international, confidential school, held by the government in most first-world countries. They train kids from the age they were recruited up to the age of 18 where they are pronounced as adults and are able to live on their own. The kids recruited by the school are kids that either have no parents, put on the streets, have special abilities that the government seeks for, or just plain failed in life but given a second chance. Once a child has been accepted into the academy, they are put into one of two categories: Mercenary (strong and a revolutionist) or Assassin (highly skilled and deadly). But this has become an issue for the past 20 years within the Japanese SOMA Academy as the two categories has segregated the school between the two. Mercenaries and Assassins are now unwillingly to at least look at each other in the eye.

6 years has gone by since he joined and Tetsuya has been working hard in SOMA of Japan. He is now ranked Agent, the second to highest, and he is about to be eligible for his personal mission of rescuing his sister. However, before he is able to do that, he must complete a few missions and obligations to do so. One of the obligations is being partners with a student named Honoka Miyazaki, who is ranked Agent as well, and finish the requirements of 20 missions (3 level A's, 7 Level B's, 5 Level C's, and 5 Level D's) with her. The only catch is she is an Assassin student while he is a Mercenary student. It has been over 20 years since a Mercenary and an Assassin has ever been teamed up. As expected, they both have huge disagreements and always have an issue of arguing with each other a lot. Tetsuya feels it would be impossible to work with her and finish 20 missions as he is running out of time to find his long lost sister. But as the story moves, Tetsuya sees this partnership as a opportunity for him to bring the school back together as it was 20 years before the whole segregation has ever occurred. Surprisingly, Honoka feels the same way and wants to help bring back the relationship between the Mercenaries and Assassins. As they work together to complete 20 missions and reduce the segregation in the school, they as well learn about their personal relationship.
